Obituary of Jacob Leal

JACOB LEAL DONNA- Jacob Leal, 33, passed away unexpectedly at Edinburg Regional Hospital, Sunday, July 25, 2021. He was a devoted son, brother, father, and Uncle and a wonderful friend to anyone who knew him. He is preceded in death by his dad, Juan Leal; Maternal grandparents, Rosalio Castillo (Juana); and Paternal grandparents, Ignacio Leal (Josefina). Jacob was born in McAllen, Texas on November 20, 1987, to Juan and Yolanda Leal. He graduated from Donna High School in 2005. Five years ago, he found his dream job as a truck driver. He loved the open roads, traveling, all around the map, meeting people but couldn’t wait to come back home, to his family, and the BBQ’s. Jacob’s presence was larger than life. He was a gentle soul, sincere in everything he did. His laughter would light up a room in a matter of minutes. He was known for his big heart and his infectious smile. Jacob was a proud uncle, always ready to cheer on his nephews and nieces everything they did. You will be deeply missed but we know you are now an angel among us. Mr. Leal is survived by his son, Ethan Leal; Mother Yolanda Leal; siblings Michael Castillo, Juan Ricardo “Rick” Leal (Letty Macias); His nieces Jada, Jaslyn, Stella; nephews Jaizon, Chris; Tia Sandy Castillo and numerous other aunts, uncles, and cousins. A Celebration of Life service will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, August 6, 2021, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg Texas.
