Obituary of Mario Moreno

MARIO O. "HOWDY HOWDY' MORENO EDINBURG - Mario O. Moreno, 67, went to be with our Lord, Friday, July 22, 2016, in Edinburg surrounded by his family. Mr. Moreno is preceded in death by his parents, Fidel and Viola Moreno. Born in Edinburg, he had retired from United Parcel Service after 30 years of faithful service. Mr. Moreno was a veteran of Vietnam having served in the Unites States Marine Corps. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mr. Moreno is survived by his wife, Estella Moreno; three children, Michelle Moreno, JoAnn (Jesse) Bernal and Mario (Norma) Moreno Jr.; three grandchildren, Riley, Giovanni and Ivianna; a sister, Norma Moreno. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Monday, July 25, 2016, at Legacy Chapels 4610 S. Jackson Rd in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission will full military honors. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
