MARIA I. HERNANDEZ DE FLORES
ALAMO - Maria Hernandez De Flores, 65, entered eternal rest Saturday, August 21, 2021, in McAllen. Maria was born July 31, 1956 in Mexico to Felix Hernandez and Ana MAria Flores. Maria lived in Alamo for most of her life. She loved being around her grandchildren, and enjoyed family gatherings where she loved for her sons to bar-b-q chicken. She was a strong believer in prayer. Always praying to God. Maria truly lived life to its fullest.
Mrs. Flores is survived by her four children, Claudio Felix Flores, Humberto Flores Jr, Armando Flores, and Iliana Refugio Flores; seven grandchildren, Michaela, Ilianna, Felix Alejandro, Debahni, Sophia, Mathias, and Michael Hunter; four sisters, Felicitas Casas, Delia Isabel Rodriguez, Irma Catalina Rodriguez, and Celia Chavez.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 and Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be at 2 p.m. Friday, August 27, 2021 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Legacy Chapels of Edinburg.
